
Born in 1995, Changsha, Hunan. A composer, curator, ensemble founder and content creator, dedicated to exploring gender equality and cultural diversity through music. Her works are mainly from a female perspective and multicultural background, centering on the multifaceted nature of female identity, with a special focus on Asian women's struggles, freedom and sense of belonging in society. She also explores the possibility of using language as a musical instrument, combining the tonal variations of the Hunan dialect with contemporary music, giving language a new form of musical expression, and revealing the subtle connections between gender, culture and nature.
She started studying composition in high school, and then received her undergraduate degree from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and completed her master's and doctorate (konzertexamen) at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg, studying under Prof. Xianglin Zhou(周湘林), Prof. Pei Lu(陆培) and Prof. Brice Pauset.
During her studies at the university, she has been mentored by many composers, including Tristan Murail, Bernd Redmann, Malin Bång, Xiaoyong Chen, Chengbi An, Lisa Lim, Xianglin Chou, Deqing Wen, etc. Her compositions also have been performed and awarded in China, Germany, France, Italy, Japan and many other countries, and she has collaborated with many world-renowned musicians including: Modern Ensemble (Moscow), Four Corners Ensemble (USA), Ligeti Quartet (UK), Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra (China), Shanghai Opera House (China), Suzhou Symphony Orchestra (China), Orkest De Ereprijs (Holland), Contrasti Ensemble(Italy) and many others.
